Shumaker Talk

Dr. Rob Shumaker is in Toronto giving some talks to the BOSCAN members and anyone else interested regarding his research with Orangutans and other great apes.

Rob currently works at the Great Ape Trust. Rob has worked for more than 20 years and has dedicated his life to the study of orangutans. He is the former coordinator of the Orangutan Language Project at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park.

Rob's research focuses on how orangutans learn, think and communicate. Rob's talks this week will focus on the always controversial topic of Apes and the Theory of Mind.
